Butterflies and Rosettes: DIY Wedding Decor

Hello, hello!

Thank you so much for stopping by. To those of you who do not know me my name is Samantha and I like tacos. ๐Ÿ˜

For my project I decided to make some decorations you could hang from your ceiling or maybe use as a photo backdrop.

I’ve never been married but I’ve heard that often people will have a color theme at their weddings. My color theme is ivory, teal, and brown. These colors give my project a sort of farmhouse chic feel to me.

To create the butterflies and the teal rosette I used a Cricut cartridge called Tablescapes- Spring & Summer, Pop Tone Blue Raspberry Cardstock, and Discount Cardstock Natural Twine Kraft Cardstock.

The ivory colored rosettes were created by hand using Discount Card Stock: Textured Summer Linen Cardstock in Ivory with Pop Tone Blue Raspberry Cardstock circles for the centers.

For the largest rosette I used a Martha Stewart Lattice border punch.

Thank you so much stopping by and taking a look.

  1. Beautiful rosettes and butterflies Sammy! I really love the colors you’ve chosen (farmhouse chick is a perfect way to describe it) ๐Ÿค— Any wedding venue would look amazing with these gorgeous decorations ๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’ž

  2. I love the large rosettes and butterflies. They add color and movement to the wedding venue that can be changed to compliment the color scheme. They would make a lovely photo backdrop.
